“Redhan 2015 – Fannuveri Aharemen” (Talented Us), an exhibition held to showcase the talents and creativity of people with disabilities and bring their products to the market, has been started Tuesday evening in National Art Gallery.
Speaking in the opening ceremony, Attorney General and acting Law and Gender Minister Mohamed Anil said that the aim of the exhibition was to show to the general public that those will disabilities were as talented, capable, proactive and in need of a platform to demonstrate their abilities.
He added that the exhibition will serve as a marketing and sales platform for the exhibits. All proceeds from the sale will be given to those who had created that exhibit.
Anil also noted that the two day exhibition will serve as platform for raising awareness on the different types of disabilities, the type of care required and the rights of such individuals.
He commended the Government for the landmark achievement in the series of work carried out for such individuals.
