Germany’s Lufthansa airlines has begun their flights to the Maldives.
The airline’s maiden flight landed in Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) Thursday at 9 am.
The first passengers from the flight were welcomed to the Maldives by Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer and senior officials of the Ministry and MACL.MACL conducted many activities to mark the occasion.
Minister Zameer said that having direct flights from Frankfurt is a huge step forward for the sector and will directly benefit fliers from Europe.
