Economic Ministry has said that a 10 storey building will be constructed in the plot of land given to Sabaa Maldives, an initiative to financially empower women.
Deputy Minister for Economic Ministry Abdullah Mohamed said that the Government attached great importance to financial empowerment to women. As such, he noted that the Government had given the 2,000 square feet land plot in M. Feeroaz Lodge to Sabaa Maldives. The 10 storey building is to be created with the loan by Islamic Bank.
Abdullah noted that one floor of the building will be reserved to create new innovations, as specified by the President in the opening of the Expo Maldives 2015.
Additionally, four floors of the building were for handicapped, where training will be given to them. The remaining six floors will be used by Sabaa Maldives.
