Ministry of Islamic Affairs, along with Rabita al-Alam al-Islami, has begun a workshop for scholars and imams, to raise awareness on religious issues.
Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad inaugurated the workshop, which began 9.15 am, Saturday morning.
According to the Ministry, the purpose of the workshop is to address and raise awareness the modern issues, along with the issues faced by Muslims today, and to offer guidance on the right path on dealing with these issues, in light of wisdom from the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s teachings.
Al Imam Mohamed bin Suood University’s Lecturer for Higher Studies Dr. Ali Al Zubn, Dr. Ali al Naahree and Director for Islamic Education and Awareness at the Rabita al-Alam al-Islami Adil al Bishr will deliver lectures on various topics in the workshop.
The six day workshop will be held from 9am to noon every day and will conclude on 14th January.
