Standards of atoll schools are not below Male’ schools: Nasiha
The first female principal of Kulhudhuffushi School, Nasiha Idhris, has denied the allegations that the standards of the Atoll Schools are sub-par to those schools in Male’.

Speaking to Kulhudhuffushi Online Nasiha said that the standards of the school can only be maintained by hard work. She added that this was an achievable goal, stating that many students from Atoll schools are in the top 10 standard.

Nasiha noted that her appointment was a sign that the Education Ministry had full faith in her. She further said that she was able to reach to this level with the assistance of many, stating that she will not fail those people.

Nasiha said that her focus was towards improving the results of the students, adding that she will need the full cooperation of parents and teachers to fulfil that aim. She also noted that the PTA and parents have previously lent invaluable assistance to the school.

She also noted that every school will have issues and challenges, which are vital to shape the progress of the school.

From 2016 onwards, preschool curriculum will be taught in Afeefuddin School, along with grades 1 to 10.
