The symposium held for religious scholars has been concluded and the participants have been awarded their participation certificates.
Speaking in the ceremony, Sheikh Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim had called on scholars to adhere to the lessons learnt from the symposium. He added that the advice given by the Saudi Scholars was extremely valuable.
“They instructed to inform the public on at least two hadhiths in order to raise awareness on Islam, grow closer to Islam,” he said.
The symposium focused on gaining a deeper understanding the issues facing the Muslims today, academic findings from Quran and hadhith, lessons from Islamic culture and history and how to pass on these lessons to the public.
Al Imam Mohamed bin Suood University’s Higher Education Department’s lecturer Dr. Ali Al Zubn and The Muslim World League (Rabita al-Alam al-Islami) lecturer’s Dr. Ali Al Nahari lectured in the sessions. Additionally, the Director of Islamic Education and Awarenss Adil al- Bishr lectured in the workshop.
The workshop was initiated by Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad Bagir on the 9th of this month.
