STO will always support public interest projects: Shaheer
STO Managing Director Ahmed Shaheer has said that the company will always be prepared to carry out any project that will benefit the public.

Speaking in the ceremony held to sign the MOU for the development of Food Courts in the south west harbor area, Shaheer pledged STO assistance in all projects that will benefit the public.

The current food huts in the harbor area will be dismantled and in place 25 to 27 food courts will be developed, in addition to 2 bathroom rows and a parking lot.
Shaheer added that the food court will be developed in two phases so as not to disrupt the current services.

Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizz spoke in the ceremony, noting that the food court will be developed to the latest design and the services given in the area will also be upgraded.

Dr. Muizz added that the details of the project will be revealed once the final agreement was signed.

“The number of stalls may be less, but the space will be more and the kitchens will be bigger,” he said.

The lease and administration of the food courts will be carried out by STO once the project is completed.
