Cabinet has given approval on Wednesday to implement the MOU signed between the Governments of Maldives and India to increase cooperation in the medical field.
Indian media has reported that under the MOU India will provide doctors and training, research and other medical incentives to the Maldives.
Additionally, India will provide management assistance for the sector and both nations will develop ties in traditional medicine.
Even now, India is providing assistance to the local health sector.
