Gaadhookolu, the sea channel in Male’ mostly used for shipping, has been closed for the duration of the bridge construction. During this period, Transport Authority said that vessels can use the Bodukalhi area.
Transport Authority said that the use of the Gaadhooolu is banned and any party or individual who used the area will be penalized.
The Authority said that vessels travelling between Male’ and Thilafushi can use Giraavaru North Sea and Thilafushi East sea area and Thilafushi West during the day light hour. Additionally, the Authority had banned the travel of vessels above 40 meters length between the Male’ and Vilingili area.
