Opposition MDP’s Parliamentary Group Leader MP for Hinnavaru Constituency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) has said that the Party was ready to take part in the inter-party talks, recently reconvened by the Government.
Speaking in today’s Parliament session, Ibu said that the opposition parties were willing to engage in discussions but only if the Government was sincere in carrying out the talks with the opposition.
He highlighted that even within the Parliament, minority parties were not given an opportunity to voice their opinions. He noted that without the equal, fair and peaceful engagement resolutions to issues cannot be found.
Ibu had welcomed the statements made by the Parliament majority leader and MP for Vilimale’ Constituency Ahmed Nihan, who had said that discussions were vital to the future of the nation.
