An elderly man has been injured in an attempted mugging this morning, which occurred in a mosque.
Police said that the incident occurred in Masjid Al-Taqwa, where an individual had attempted to rob a phone of an elderly man. After the mugging attempt had failed, the individual had bit the ear of the elderly man.
Police informed that the case was filed this morning around 9.35 and that a 24 year old male locl had been arrested in connection to the incident.
Police added that the individual arrested had a history of drug use, drug related cases, theft, mugging and vandalism. Additionally, two cases involving the arrested had also been forwarded to PG for prosecution.
