Kuda Huvadhoo Constituency MP Ahmed Amir has said that if the funds from the MMPRC and related corruption cases, the Government can disburse MVR 6000 for every family.
He made the statement, addressing the Parliament session, after MP for Meedhoo Constituency MP Rozaina Adam submitted a motion to independently investigate the corruption of MMPRC.
Amir said that the amount pilfered from state was huge and that these should be investigated thoroughly and he amounts recovered to the state.
He noted that all Governments had perpetrated theft from state accounts, adding that those cases must be investigated. Amir said that the current government is more than capable of investigating and taking action on the cases.
With recovered funds, MVR 6000 can be distributed to every family
