STO Chairman Ahmed Niyaz has said that STO is not just aiming to sell medication but to ensure the Maldivians were healthy and well.
Speaking in the opening ceremony of the STO Henveyru pharmacy, Niyaz said the STO does not just simply seek to provide medication, but to ensure the public was healthy and secure. He said the company will provide free services from the pharmacy.
Niyaz said that President Yameen had emphasized on easy access to high quality healthcare to the public and that the company had opened pharmacies in all inhabited islands for this.
“Even this pharmacy was opened with the assistance, advice, and I thank him for the input,”
Niyaz added that they had been in the process of opening the Henveyru pharmacy for a while but had been delayed due to a building issue.
“It was resolved last year, with the opening of the pharmacy tonight. This is a great service to the citizens of henveyru ward. This will improve the quality of life for all,”
Niyaz noted the assistance of STO MD Ahmed Shaheer, STO employees, Health Minister and Ministry employees.
