MIFCO MD Adlee Ismail has stated that the company will seek to control the fish prices this Ramdan.
Speaking to Miadhu, Adlee said the company will control the prices of fresh fish in the market.
“Even now tuna sold by the company is available in the market. Fresh fish demand is high, MIFCO will be selling it on the market as well,”
Adlee said they were now focusing more on the local market, without supplying to outside markets, as they had an excellent market locally. He said there was a good market for fish and rihaakuru from Italy and Japan, noting that they were prioritizing local market to ensure uninterrupted supply.
He said demand for MIFCO products was increasing globally, with many suppliers expressing interest in supplying to supermarkets. He added that the suppliers were visiting Maldives to check on the processes.
