MACL, STO renews fuel supply agreement
MACL and STO has renewed the agreement to provide fuel for Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.

The renewed one-year agreement was signed by STO MD Ahmed Shaheer and MACL MD Adil Moosa.

Speaking in the ceremony Adil Moosa said STO was chosen as the partner as the company had a proven track record in the past of service delivery and adherence to the set deadlines.

“Some months we have to bring in two shipments, even in that situation, supply issues were not observed,”

Adil noted the services given by the company and commended the company.

Under the agreement, STO will provide all necessary jet fuel and diesel for a one-year period. STO will provide around 200000 tons of supply for a cost of US$ 80 million.

STO MD Shaheer said the company had the capability to provide required amounts of fuel to the airport as required. He added that STO will continue to expand their tankers and other resources as the airport expanded operations and their fuel storage.
