Maldives Gas has been given a 90000 sqft area to create a 1500 metric ton gas plant in GDh Thinadhoo.
The MOU for the project was signed today in Thinadhoo Council Secretariat by Maldives Gas MD Abdullah Maumoon.
STO had already created a 1100 metric ton plan in Thilafushi. The Thinadhoo plant in a 400 metric ton upgrade on the Thilafushi plant.
The plant is an automatic plant.
Maumoon said the plant would create 70 jobs and will train them both locally and internationally. STO Gas will create two additional plants in two parts of the country.
