An MNDF officer arrested in relation to the explosion aboard the presidential speedboat has confessed that in addition to making an IED to harm the President, he had also previously made another IED to denote during the May Day protest.
During the police investigation, the secret witness said that the plan was to detonate the IED at a remote location inside former Police Commissioner HussainWaheed’s car in a way no individual would be hurt.
The officer also said that Adheeb had asked him to prepare two different IEDs; one for May Day and one to blow up the presidential speedboat.
Adheeb had also asked the officer regarding the range in which the remote detonator would work.
