Two 14-year-old boys were murdered last night and an additional 19 individuals were arrested in a spate of gang related stabbings.
Eye witnesses reported that the first murder was committed by a group on motorcycles who had stabbed the minor. He was pronounced dead at around 8pm in IGMH.
The next murder occurred around 8.30 pm near Yaagoothuge. He died on route to IGMH.
Police reported that the investigations on the murders were currently underway, with 19 individuals under arrest and three residences searched. Under a court order, Police had searched M. Jade, M. Lonumidhilige and H. Dhoohimerige.
It has been reported that the stabbings had been spurred by a lover’s spat.
