Revert to religion to rectify social fabric: Hussain Moosa Fikree
Sheikh Hussain Moosa Fikree has said the reverting back to religion was the only way to restore the strained social fabric.

He made the statement, in his sermon given after Asr prayers in Masjid Thakurufaanu Auzam.

Sheikh said the Prophet had stressed on five elements, adding that if we reflect on this we would understand what we need to do.

The Prophet had ordered us to answer the salaams, visit the sick, participate in funerals, respond to the invitation of a fellow Muslim and to say al’hamdhulillah when sneezing and the corresponding actions.

The Sheikh said that many have complained after rendering a service to the fellow Muslim. He said Muslims should assist the other person not expecting to receive anything in return. He said that this was how the Prophets had aced and that we have to emulate their behavior.

In conclusion the Sheikh said God will reward all acts committed in the way God had commanded. He said the best reward was the one granted by God and therefore there was no reason to expect anything from others.
