MWSC has sponsored the education expenses for 20 students of Care Development Centre (CDC) for one year.
The cheque for the fees was handed over to the Center in a ceremony held in Muleeaage today by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim.
MWSC MD Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed said this was part of the company’s CSR initiative and that First Lady had taken a special interest in the initiative. He noted the work carried out by the First Lady. He said both First Lady and the President paid special importance to such social projects. He thanked the President and the First Lady for their interest in the projects.
Speaking on behalf of Care Society, Chairperson Abdul Hameed said this aid was an immense assistance granted to the students and urged other companies to invest in the future of the children.
MWSC had spent MVR 240000 for the sponsorship of the students.
