Maldives Post Limited has announced that the Agency will penalize all imports that are not identified by branding.
A notice issued by MPL said there were strict regulation regarding the consolidation of the brake bulks, perishables and general cargo. The notice said these have been announced from June 7 onward.
MPL said due to some failing to observe these guidelines the processes at the port had been delayed in many occasions.
MPL said the regulations were set to minimize the delays, any possible damages to the goods and expedite all processes at the port. The agency said if the shipping agents failed to comply with these regulations then the Agency would penalize them.
