Saudi Embassy in the Maldives has said that the greatly appreciates the work carried out by Sadaqah Foundation in distributing the dates given by Saudi Government.
A statement Foreign Ministry today said the dates were donated to the Maldives and signified the close relationship between the two nations. The statement added that Sadaqah Foundation was already an established charity working in the country and as such they were proud of the initiative taken by the Foundation, closely monitored by the First Lady.
The statement urged all not to view this act as a controversial one.
