Ooredoo and Hulhumalé Development Corporation (HDC) have partnered to develop a Smart City in Hulhumalé, and have today signed an infrastructure sharing agreement to bring state-of-the-art technological solutions to the people of Hulhumalé.
Key initiatives included in the agreement include the establishment of an optic fiber network across the island, which will power the launch of Ooredoo Supernet in Hulhumalé, allowing customers to benefit from ultrafast broadband speeds.
The fiber will also be utilised to create an end to end CCTV camera network within Hulhumalé, an important step towards ensuring a safe neighbourhood for its people. Under the partnership, Ooredoo will also be introducing its Public Wi-Fi-solution (Ooredoo Hangout) to significant areas in the city, including Hulhumalé Central Park.
