Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar has said convicts such as Jawaz, who had confessed that he did build two IEDs for former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb, will not be released to the society as they posed significant public threat.
Speaking in a press conference in Coast Guard building, Adam Shareef had denied rumors that Jawaz had been freed. He said Jawaz was currently under Police custody and that MNDF was closely monitoring his affairs.
Following his testimony, many had speculated that the gulf craft launch that had exploded was also a political stunt orchestrated by Adeeb. Even in the most developed nations, bomb makers were housed high security prisons.
