President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom has formed an Advisory Committee which will advise the Home Minister on issuing Monicon orders.
In addition to Home Minister Umar Naseer, Fisheries and Agriculture Minister Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Finance Minister Abdullah Jihad and Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef is in the Committee.
The decision comes amid severe criticism of the way Monicon orders are issued. However, Home Minister Umar had assured that there were no serious issues and that he will seek to establish order in the country.
It is also noted that the decision comes amid serious within MDA Youth League, after Minister Umar tagged Ali Shan of H. Hicoast, one of the League activists.
