President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has established a Maldivian Embassy, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the Federal Republic of Germany on 22 June 2016.
The Embassy will work towards furthering ties between the two countries, and others in the region; to enhance the good will between its peoples and its governments, to promote Maldivian tourism in Germany and to strengthen existing bilateral relationships.
