Health Minister Abdullah Nazim Ibrahim has said the Ministry has begun to supply furniture to health service providers. He said around 8000 pieces of furniture from 10 different types will be provided under the initiative.
Speaking to the press in the Ministry on Wednesday, Minister Nazim said the endeavor cost the state over MVR 9 million.
Minister Nazim also said the Ministry’s ambulance project had cost over MVR 40 million, adding that by the end of the year all inhabited islands will have operational ambulances.
This year, 56 ambulances had been brought into the country and yesterday, 28 ambulances were signed to be brought in. Minister Nazim said 25 ambulances were under repair and will be soon completed.
