Members of PPM have expressed their concerns over the infighting that had erupted within Party echelons in the last few weeks of Ramadan.
A member, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that public attention had been diverted to this unfortunate series of events. Following Party President Maumoon’s statements, the attention had been diverted from religious activities to political activities.
The members said the issues within the Party can be resolved within the Party, adding that increased infighting and formation of factions were something the opposition had wanted.
“PPM has had a proud history. Within two years of formation, the Party had served the nation at an incredible pace,”
Council members have been pushing to hold a meeting in order to resolve the issues.
