Services provided to the Maldives by Indian helicopters is increasing.
The Kurangi helicopter had transported a critical patient to Addu City from Fuvahmulah. The chopper is stationed in Addu City Gan.
The helicopter had departed at 0545 hrs, travelled 55 miles to Fuvahmulah and transferred the patient to Gan before 0640. The entire trip had been covered within 55 minutes.
The Government of India has been providing all costs of maintenance and oil supply for the helicopters.
