MTCC CEO Ibrahim Ziyath has stated that the company had many avenues for growth.
Speaking to Miadhu, Ziyath said even though the company had many avenues for growth but will focus currently on completing the current projects as soon as possible.
“This will increase the faith in the company, which will in turn bring in more projects and increase the revenues and profits for the company,”
Ziyath said with the completion of the current port projects, most of the ports work will be completed. He said once all ports projects were completed, they will turn their attention to other projects.
Ziyath added the large dredgers that will arrive later this year, which will allow projects to be started the next year.
“They will be used in many projects, including the I-havan project. Many resort and lagoon owners are requesting for our help as well,”
Ziyath said MTCC will focus on developing a boat yard. He said this required additional investment in order to generate a sustainable profit. He added the sales department was working to achieve their targets, noting the company had achieved their targets for last year.
Ziyath, a former staffer at STO, noted the contrasts between the two companies. Stating that he was working on maximizing returns for MTCC, he said the Government paid special attention to the progress of the company. He said the support and careful review by the President mattered, adding that this Government had facilitated ease of running businesses.
He commended the President for his long term and sustainable business practices, noting the Board of Directors was also similarly motivated.
