MPL has initiated a cooperative society for their employees, under the administration of MPL assistant general manager Mohamed Mahjoob.
MPL CEO Mohamed Junaid had announced in the Ramadan maahefun that a cooperative society will be opened for the employees, which will provide immense benefits for the employees. Junaid said the society will operate a shop and the proceeds from the shop will be distributed between employees. He said the proceeds will be used to send employees on Hajj and other incentives.
He added the shop will provide basic necessities to the employees on cost price.
The cooperative society will run a café in the four storey complex to be built in Meerubahuru port. MPL said the shop and café will benefit not just the employees, but all those who use the port and facilities.
