Police have started investigating smoke rising from the ground in M. Mulah.
The case was first reported to Police this afternoon. Soon afterwards, Police had arrived on scene, cordoned off the area and begun taking samples from the area as part of the investigations.
Police media official said that officers dug into the ground, to discover the soil and the water beneath to be warm as well.
The official said that officers had worked with Fenaka Corporation and confirmed that it was not a result of an issue with electricity.
Police, MNDF and Disaster Management Center had been working in the investigation and the area had been sealed off for the duration of the investigation.
