STO has signed agreements with Tennis Association of the Maldives to sponsor the tennis tournaments for 2016, 2017 and 2018 as “STO Nippon Paint National Tennis Championship”.
The agreement was signed in a ceremony held today in STO Head Office. STO Managing Director Ahmed Shaheer and Tennis Association of Maldives President Ahmed Nazeer signed the agreements on behalf of their agencies.
Speaking in the ceremony, Shaheer said that STO had always been a close partner in developing and sustaining sports. He said that he hoped this agreement will boost tennis in the country.
Nazeer said that majority of the sponsorship will be used to develop under 18 players. STO has been sponsoring TAM tournaments.
