Ooredoo CEO Wikramasinghe has stated that the company’s m-Faisaa will allow guaranteed and secured transactions.
The m-Faisaa service was launched in a ceremony held in Hotel Jen. Speaking to Miadhu, Wikramasinghe said the service will be provided through a two-step verification process.
“When the figure is entered, a message will be sent to confirm the figure. Once the confirmation is carried out. A receipt will be sent via the phone,”
Wikramasinghe said that if any changes needed to be brought to the transferred amount and if the recipient had not used the transaction, then the cash can be recovered. He assured that the m-Faisaa is a secure system.
He added that all STO pharmacies are Ooredoo agents and will release cash from the outlets. He added that there were no islands without Ooredoo agents and there were around 300 agents.
Ooredoo stated that the service will be expanded to provide ferry tickets in the future.
MMA Governor Azeema Adam, MMA senior officials and businessmen attended the ceremony.
