Gemanafushi Constituency MP Jameel Usman has stated that drastically different and polarizing viewpoints were damaging to the nation.
He said that this was not an acceptable thing. He said this issue was occurring as the opposition only wanted to come to power. He said the purpose of the opposition was to halt the development projects, stating that this was unethical, unacceptable in a civilized nation. Jameel Usman called on the opposition to contest in the elections on the basis of a manifesto.
Govt. policy is to share STO profits with the public: Shaheer STO MD Ahmed Shaheer has stated that the Government policy was to share the profits of STO to the public.
Shaheer made the response to a question by Miadhu over the 30 percent reduction in profits in the second quarter. He said that President Yameen had announced STO policy in the company’s 50th annual general meeting.
He said that the President wished to share STO profits to the public rather than become a multi-profit corporation. Shaheer added that STO had reduced prices and will do so in the future to support this policy. He added that STO business were proceeding as normal and they had instilled infrastructure development to further boost the policy.
