Partner nations invested in the future of the nation had taken part in the official function held to mark the 51st independence day.
Partner nations such as India, China, Saudi Arabia and other regional partners had attended the function and expressed their sentiments.
India is the biggest partner nation. Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives Akhilesh Mishra noted the impressive achievements by the Maldives in economic progress and the country’s natural beauty.
Saudi Ambassador Ali Al-Kahail had also expressed sentiments along this vein, as well as Chinese Ambassador Wang FuKang.
