Kaashidhoo Constituency MP Faisal Naseem has stated that even though the Parliament passed laws as they pleased, citizens will continue talking about what concerns them.
Speaking in today’s session, Faisal said that citizens will talk about losses of millions from public coffers and that any laws passed will not prevent people from talking about it. He urged the Parliament and the Government to refrain from any and all actions that attracts public controversy.
Faisal said that forcefully enforced laws will do scant to change things but a more fundamental change to the Constitution that addresses these issues at the roots was required.
He cited that force did more harm than good, adding that this would not be possible.
