Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has stated that based on MMA statistics, inflation had been controlled and that it was a resounding success that construction sector had expanded by 40 percent.
He made the statement speaking in the ceremony held in Salsa Royal this evening to launch the third book published by the Islamic Ministry.
Speaking in the ceremony, the Minister said that a 40 percent development to the construction sector signaled economic development and robustness.
“That is a sign that resorts are developing, infrastructure development and housing projects are going ahead at full speed,”
He said that the Government had targeted for economic development and prosperity to all. But, he said that opposition figures had only targeted to disrupt this progress.
“This is the difference between the two parties, this is not a good view. The economic process has to go ahead in spite of differing views,”
He added that the Government had planned to make next September’s third Economic Forum in India a success.
“The Government wants to carry out all options that will bring economic development. We’re working for that. The Forum in September in New Delhi will be a success God willing,” he said.
