Maldives on Sunday morning will welcome the 750,000th tourist to visit the country this year.
A special welcome will be accorded to the 750,000th visitor in Ibrahim Nasir International Airport Sunday morning, a welcome organized by MMPRC and other related agencies.
Both MMPRC and tourism sector have been conducting activities to mark the Visit Maldives Year in the drive to bring in more tourists.
Based on current statistics, on average 107,000 tourists visited per month. This figure is expected to rise by the end of the year.
