An amendment has been proposed to censor the live feeds of Parliament session, in the event any defamation occurs within the Parliament session.
Speaking to Miadhu, PPM PG Leader and VIlimaafannu Constituency MP Ahmed Nihan said that broadcaster must be responsible for any content broadcast during live sessions. The live sessions must be censored.
However, Nihan said that this did not exempt journalists from their responsibilities, reminding them to seek the statements when an allegation is made against an individual.
Many have expressed concern over the status of the Parliament sessions.
