All Maldivian pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia have completed their Umrah pilgrimages. The contingent that departed yesterday included 222 pilgrims.
The second contingent of pilgrims are scheduled to depart on the 18th of this month.
Saudi Arabia has employed around a thousand additional individuals for assisting pilgrims in both Mecca and Medina. The security measures in the two Holy Mosques, Mina and Arafat has been beefed up as well.
