MNDF has stated that the joint operations run by Police and MNDF were routine checks.
MNDF today said the checks and operations run in the capital Male’ were preplanned routine checks run periodically.
“We’ve begun an operation to monitor Male’. It’s part of a routine procedure, no special reason,”
International media sources have reported various reports of a coup to overthrow the government. The media reports of coup attempts were reported by opposition allied media sources and many have speculated over the validity of the rumors.
