Vice President Abdullah Jihad said he did not meet any reporters from Al Jazeera TV in Maldives or anywhere else.
Speaking to the press at the President’s office VP Jihaad denied the allegations of meeting with reporters from Al Jazeera. He said that he did not meet any reporters during his trip to the United Arab Emirates.
“Spreading lies is forbidden in Islam. I request everyone not to do such things” said Jihaad.
He also said that the report which is going to be released by Al Jazeera is quite unethical because they did not ask the government for comments. He said that the international best practice is to get a comment from all parties involved in such a report.
