The Government has appointed PR companies to counteract false stories and fabrications on Maldives.
Speaking in the opening ceremony of Hotel Exhibition Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer said that the agencies were appointed by the Government were to provide the truth to the claims made by the opposition against the country and to offset the resultant damage on the country’s tourism. He said this was part of the work started by the Government to counteract the opposition claim. He added the PR companies have begun their work.
Minister Zameer said a special conference will be held on the status of the country’s tourism sector. He said the conference will be held to find the reasons and solutions for the sector.
Zameer added that the conference will be used to find the key information for next year’s marketing plan, in collaboration with industry professionals.
Minister Zameer said that seeking the opinions of industry professionals was vital for the development of the sector.
