Civil Service Commission President Dr. Ali Shameem has demonstrated that education without proper upbringing is useless.
He made the statement in the keynote address delivered at the annual prize day of Majidiyya School.
Instead of giving a huge lecture, Dr. Shameem presented books written by local and foreign scholars on child development. He also presented books written on ethics and behavior used in local and international schools.
Dr. Shameem said we have to learn from the education and upbringing experiences of nations such as Singapore, which we see as an example.
His speech widely focused on the importance of keeping upbringing at the same level as the developments in education.
He also stressed on the importance of parents setting an example to their children.
