Abuse of power accounts for most cases: ACC
ACC has stated that out of all cases submitted to ACC in the first six months of the year the most cases were filed on abuse of power charges.

ACC said the Commission had reviewed 201 cases in the six-month period relating to this issue.

The Commission had reviewed 93 such cases in the second quarter of the year, which is a 13.9 decrease compared to 2015.

It also said they had reviewed 72 cases on charges of disobeying set regulations, which is the second highest type of cases in the same quarter.

In the second quarter, abuse of power accounted for the next highest type of cases, with 37 cases reviewed.

Additionally in the first six months, the Commission had investigated 14 cases of averting profits to state, four cases of abuse of state resources and one case of bribery.
