STO has offered MACI to be a partner in the concrete ready-mix production company of STO.
Answering to a question from Miadhu, the MD of STO Ahmed Shaheer said that as STO is doing in other fields, they want to continue the production of concrete ready-mix by partnering up with the pioneers in the construction industry.
“We are producing Gas and roofing sheets as well by partnering up with private businesses. Our policy is to go forward by working with the private sector as much as possible. That is why we want to do this as well with the private sector” said Shaheer.
Shaheer said that they want to give this service in Male’ and Hulhumale’ and now they are talking with MACI to see who are interested to partner with STO.
“Discussions are going on and we are trying to provide these services by working with the private sector” said Shaheer.
Shaheer said that they will start working on a timeline once they hear back from MACI. Shaheer further said that they have had some experiences in producing ready-mix and have also brought trucks that are suitable for the streets of Male’.
“STO is trying to find solutions to problems faced by the people when streets are closed for construction and when cement and concrete is spilled all over the streets. These problems will be solved when we start providing concrete ready-mix” said Shaheer.
The concrete mix supplied by STO will be of high standards and the strength and longevity of the building will increase. In addition, insurance companies will also not be hesitant to provide insurance.
