Airport operating smoothly even with record number of travelers.

Even though thousands of people are travelling within this week, Ibrahim International Airport is running smoothly.

The managing director of MACL Adil Moosa said that, the operations are smooth because they planned for this expecting thousands of people to travel during this holiday. He said that passengers will not face any hardship.

“Usually in holidays like this people who travel will increase, that is why we prepared for this in advance. That is why the operations are running smoothly” said Adil.


However, he said that due to the ongoing construction of the new terminal and the second runway there will be some difficulties. But he assured that they will also try their best to make sure everything runs smoothly.


A lot of people are travelling abroad and to the atolls on the occasion of Eid. People are expected to travel within the next three days as well.
