Government decides to hold Eid prayers in Maafannu Stadium

As in previous years, government has decided to hold Al-haa Eid prayers in Maafannu Stadium.

This year, men will pray in the turf field area. Females will prayer in the futsal pitch area.

According to Islamic Ministry there will be separate doors and gates for men and women on that day.

Ministry also requests everyone to follow regulations set by the ministry on that day. Everyone is requested to go to the prayer ground on foot. However, there will be parking zones for those who go to the area by car and cycle. One parking zone will be the sand pitch in one corner of the stadium. The other will be the empty ground near Kulhivaru Ekuveni.

Maldives Police Service and Maldivian National Defence Force will maintain the security of the area.
