Rulers should be careful to do right by the citizens, and citizens should help the rulers – Arafat Sermon
Senior Saudi Imaam Dr.Abdu Rahmaan Al Sudais advised the rulers of Muslim nations to be careful of the rights of the citizens and advised the citizens to help the rulers, while delivering the Arafat Day sermon.

Dr.Sudais is the senior Imaam appointed to the two Harams by the King of Saudi Arabia. Dr.Sudais advised the leaders of Muslim nations to be honest. Also he advised the citizens of Muslim nations to cooperate with the leaders of the nation. He said that the problems faced by the Islamic world can only be solved by the leaders and the citizens working together.

He also asked the leaders to be just and fair. He said that Islamic countries can progress forward only when the leaders are just and when the people are loyal and hardworking.

The imam also said that Muslims should remember why they were sent to this world. And hence should enjoin what is good and forbid the evil. He further said that the Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) is the best example of humanity. The imam advised the rulers of the nation he example from the prophet’s life and become role models for the people as well.

He also noted that good manners are disappearing from Muslim societies and advised everyone to promote Islamic discipline and manners. Dr.Sudais also advised the Muslim youth not to join terrorist organizations as the religion does not allow killing people without just cause.

The imam described terrorist organizations as organizations that corrupt and sway the youth away from the religion.

Dr.Sudais also prayed for Sheikh Abdul Azeez Ah-Shaikh, who delivered the Arafat sermon continuously for the past 35 years.
